What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Support children's learning through play-based learning
  • Ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
  • Encourage language development through stories, songs and conversation 
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns to the designated safeguarding lead
  • Set up and tidy away play areas and resources

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Training Provider: Bromley College of Further Education.

On programme Training:

  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
  • Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths
  • Institute of Apprenticeship Certificate

End point assessment:

  • Professional discussion underpinned by portfolio
  • Knowledge Test
